In 1958, Liancai township was abolished and Shenlin township was established. In October, it belonged to Xianfeng commune (located in shatangpu, under the jurisdiction of former Shatang Township and Shenlin township). It was renamed Shatang commune in April 1959. Liancai Town, Longde County, Ningxia is located in the most Western Chongqing river valley and Sichuan Road District of Longde County. With a total area of 45.88 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. During the Republic of China, it successively belonged to Shatang Township and Shenlin township. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were Liancai, Hengping, Shuanglou and other townships, which successively belonged to Shenlin district and Shatang district. In 1958, it belonged to Xianfeng people's commune. The United finance commune was established in 1961. Liancai township was established in 1984. In 1996, it was restructured into Liancai town.
