Mengjialing town

Mengjialing Town, belonging to Tiexi District of Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Lishu County, facing fangmagou township of Gongzhuling City across the Dongliao River in the East, Shiling Town of Tiedong District of Siping City in the south, shijiabao town in the west, Caijia town and Guojiadian town in the north. The area is 163.98 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of menjialing town was 17044.

In November 1958, it belonged to Guojiadian commune and was the management area of mengjialing. In May 1961, mengjialing commune was established. In November 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In November 1984, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, mengjialing town has one community and nine administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In February 1942, the villages of sitaizi and daheyan belonged to three districts, while the villages of majiayoufang, Xiaan and mengjialing belonged to eleven districts.

In 1956, it belonged to three districts, and mengjialing village was assigned to sitaizi township.

In November 1958, it belonged to Guojiadian commune and was the management area of mengjialing.

The next day, the hail in the ditch was not completely melted. On August 11, 2003, huangmeigou and dahebeitun in Xiaan village were hit by hail. The hail lasted for 20 minutes, and the vegetables were basically dead. 150 hectares of corn were hit, and the grain yield was reduced by 70%.
