Applicant: Dingri County, Tibet Autonomous Region

Dingri luoxie is a comprehensive art form integrating singing, dancing, music, playing and singing. It is the product of Tibetan people's nomadic farming and sacrificial activities. It originated from the folk dance in Tibet and is said to have a history of more than 600 years. It is widely spread in Dingri County, Tibet Autonomous Region. "Luoxie" means Southern Song in Tibetan, and "Xie" generally refers to song and dance. Dingri Luohe has a long history, rich content and unique performance style.

During the performance, the men played the zanian Qin and the three stringed Qin, while the women sang hand in hand and arm in arm. The festival was divided into two groups, one singing and one harmonizing. The whole performance is free and easy, with beautiful melody and simple melody, showing a distinctive regional style.

Dingri Luohe inherits the form of Tibetan folk song and dance art, and is deeply influenced by multi culture, forming a folk dance with strong local flavor, which has artistic, historical and cultural research value. At present, under the impact of modern culture, this traditional folk dance is short of inheritors and needs to be protected.
