According to the legend of yaoyu village in Jiangxian County of Shanxi Province and the related literature, King Yao was born in yaoyu village. The village has many ancient stone steles, such as the relics of the Tang Dynasty, the majestic and strict match of heaven, the record of founding a village, the ancient post road stele, etc., as well as the Yaowang temple in the East Yaoling mountain, the whole temple in the West Yaoling mountain, the Sanguan Temple in front of the village, the secret cave of the birth of the king of Yao in the middle Yaoling mountain, etc., all of which are said to be related to the king of Yao. The Neolithic culture, Yangshao culture and Longshan culture sites in the eastern and Western Yaoling mountains also have many relics related to the king of Yao, such as the stone chair and used stone table, the bathing pool, the temple of heaven, the commanding platform, the pagoda, the south gate, the pot gate and the qinglonggang. Every folklore about King Yao is rich in content, and the plot is also tortuous and moving. The representative works include "King Yao's new year's greetings", "the story of burying people" and "empress e's birthday greetings".
