Brief introduction of traditional Chinese medicine preparation method (Xia's pill making technique)
Applicant: Jingshan County, Hubei Province
Alchemy is the ancient alchemy for "Immortality". Chinese alchemy originated in the Warring States period in the 3rd century B.C. and developed into alchemy on the basis of traditional Chinese medicine preparation. There are two kinds of medicine made by Alchemy: external use and internal use. External users are still of great medical value, while internal use is gradually eliminated due to its high toxicity.
Alchemy has always been covered with mystery, and most of its experimental recipes have been lost. However, in Hubei, the Xia family, represented by Xia Dazhong and Xia Xiaozhong, still continues this ancient pharmaceutical method, making "baijiangdan" by burning mineral drugs. The pill produced by Xia's alchemy is a kind of external medicine.
There are two kinds of pills commonly used in surgery: hongshengdan and baijiangdan. The so-called "Sheng Dan" means "Sheng" when the pot mouth is up; on the contrary, when the pot mouth is down, it means "Jiang Dan". Baijiangdan has the effect of removing toxin, detumescence, decaying and killing insects. In modern times, it is mostly used for difficult and complicated diseases such as cellulitis, chronic osteomyelitis, suppurative infection in all parts of the body.
With the changes of the times, all kinds of advanced pharmaceutical technology impact on the traditional alchemy, and Xia's alchemy is facing an endangered state, which is in urgent need of rescue.
