Brief introduction to bashanbeier song:

Applicant: Bazhong City, Sichuan Province

Bashanbeier song refers to a kind of folk song produced and spread in Bazhong City, the south foot of Micang mountain in Northeast Sichuan. People call people who are engaged in long-distance bad luck "back second" or "back second song", so the folk song which is sung in the way of bad luck has the name of "Bashan back second song", and its performance form is mostly one person leading the song and others singing together.

The back two songs are mainly composed of seven character metrical style, mostly using Fu, Bi and Xing techniques; the lining words are often used as notional words, the mode is symbolic mode, the musical structure is a single paragraph of two sentences, the singing is high pitched and melodious, the style is rough and uninhibited, and at the end, it is a long exclamatory voice, which has regional characteristics.

The two songs of bashanbei came into being with the Ba people engaged in long-distance back transportation. In the Qin and Han Dynasties, there was an ancient Micang road in Bazhong, which connected Chang'an and Chengdu. People in the past formed a huge team to carry goods on this road, and created the "two songs of bashanbei" in their labor, which has been inherited to this day. "Ba Shan Bei Er Ge" is a manifestation of the spiritual culture of Ba Shan people. It is a living book to record the social development and the real basis to study the history of Ba Shan people. It carries the local conditions and customs of Ba Shan people and their living habits. The representative repertoire is "it's difficult to carry a child on one's back up the slope" and so on.

Due to the aggravation of the modernization process, the backhaul industry has evolved from the original long-distance backhaul to today's short-distance backhaul, and the number of employees is less and less. "Bashan Beier song" is gradually losing the space for survival and development, and is on the verge of crisis, which is in urgent need of protection.
