Xinjiang Mongolian embroidery, known as "hatagomara" in Mongolian, is a kind of Mongolian folk embroidery art popular in Bohu County, Shuo county, Jing County, Yanqi county and other surrounding areas of Bazhou, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Before the Yuan Dynasty, the Mongolians paid much attention to the art of embroidery, and embroidery was widely used in their social life. There are several main techniques of Xinjiang Mongolian embroidery, such as embroidery, decals, seizing flowers, etc., which are mostly used for daily necessities, especially the decoration of clothing. The collar, cuffs, edges, boots, hats and girdles of daily robes, wrestling suits and horse racing suits are embroidered. The embroidered lines are mostly on cloth or leather.
