Fuyang is located in the middle reaches of the Huaihe River in the northwest of Anhui Province. In history, most of the rural women in Fuyang have the art of paper cutting, which has been handed down from generation to generation. Fuyang paper-cut production tool is simple, a pair of scissors or knife, plus all kinds of colored paper is enough. Due to people's different life hobbies and artistic tastes, Fuyang paper-cut has formed a variety of artistic styles, wonderland, colorful, its production is generally used in monochrome, color, collage and other forms, and a large number of cutting, carving, tearing and other techniques. Fuyang paper-cut presents a rough, simple and mellow style on the whole. It not only has the delicate beauty of Southern paper-cut, but also has the naivety of northern paper-cut. It achieves the harmonious unity of skillfulness and clumsiness, static and dynamic, virtual and real, and has high artistic value.
