A brief introduction to the whole back entwined boxing

Hongdong Tongbei boxing, also known as "Tongbei boxing" and "Hongdong Tongbei boxing", is one of the traditional martial arts.

The origin of tongbeizhanquan is unknown. It has been handed down for ten generations since Guo Yongfu spread it to Hongdong, Shanxi Province in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. For more than 200 years, there are many practitioners and famous teachers, which are widely spread in the south of Shanxi Province.

Tongbei entangled boxing has its distinctive and unique boxing theory, techniques and technical requirements. "Tongbei" means that the whole body is accessible and the power comes from the back. "Back" is the center of body activities. There are three meanings of "twining fist": first, it means twining, which is the method of transforming the enemy's power; second, it means that the technique changes endlessly, with continuous attack and defense and breaking methods, just like twining the opponent; third, it has 27 ways of "twining hands". Therefore, it is called "tongbeizhanquan". Hongdong Tongbei entwined boxing has a complete technical system. The routine can be divided into "mother boxing" routine, "child boxing" routine, equipment routine and pair training routine. "Mother boxing" is one hundred single eight moves, divided into nine rows, twenty-four moves, twenty-eight moves, seventy-two moves in Sanda, and one hundred and eight moves in short fight. There are 32 sets of "Zi Quan" and 27 sets of "Zi Quan". There are four kinds of instruments: long, short, miscellaneous and soft. There are free hand training, equipment training, multi person training and free hand training.

There are many similarities and similarities between tongbeizhanquan and Chen's Taijiquan in Chenjiagou, Wenxian County, Henan Province, which is a topic that Wushu researchers are concerned about.
