According to the relevant cultural relics and historical records, as early as more than 2000 years ago, China had wrestling, which was greatly developed in the Qing Dynasty. After the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty, hurui fifth and wanbaye (WAN Yongshun), the powerful "official legs", opened wrestling halls in Tianqiao red temple (the lower courtyard of Jinzhong Temple), and accepted disciples Zhu Liu, Wei Dehai, Li Lianfeng, Shen Yousan, man Guangtian, Bao Shanlin, sun Baocai, He Sheng, etc. Since then, "official wrestling" has been integrated into the folk, collectively known as "guanwrestling".

In the 1920s, Wan Baye's Apprentice Bao Shanlin (1900-1965) set up a wrestling field in Beijing Tianqiao, which created a unique wrestling mode. It was characterized by flexibility, beautiful figure, humorous interpretation, combination of culture and martial arts, and Chinese flag. The practice method of whipping technique emphasizes three sets, the technique emphasizes thirty-six big stumbling blocks and many small stumbling blocks. His performances are various in forms, such as live measurement (hanging), mouth irrigation, "burden" and humorous. As an excellent way of national culture expression, Tianqiao wrestling has the research value of folk custom, art, sports, culture, society, history and so on. At present, with the old generation of famous wrestlers dying one after another, there is no successor in the wrestling world, and there is no fixed training and performance venue, so the market operation is difficult. This ancient skill is facing the danger of losing its heritage, so it is an urgent task to strengthen its protection.
