Qianqianban is one of the traditional folk rap music in Sichuan and Chongqing. It evolved from Allegro and lianhuanao. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the money board entered a new period of development and reached its climax in the 1970s and 1980s.

The props of the money board performance are three small bamboo boards. In the initial performance, copper coins are put in the holes of the small bamboo board. In addition to the sound of bamboo beating, the sound of copper coins colliding with each other can also be heard. Later, in order to facilitate the production, people canceled the copper coin in the process of making the props of the money board, and the money board became three small bamboo boards.

The performance of money board is mainly composed of four forms: playing, speaking, singing and acting. The performance is performed by one or several people, with the combination of playing and singing, supplemented by performance. When playing, the actors hold three pieces of bamboo boards with their left and right hands. They hit the beat and play the basic "drop, beat, collapse" and various kinds of sound to enhance the atmosphere. When singing, they talk and sing. The language is funny and the singing is catchy. When performing, they pay attention to the body, fingers and claws to convey the spirit. Beautiful lyrics, pay attention to plot description, pay attention to rhyme, sentence can be long or short, flexible, just a few sentences can describe the characters vividly, the composition structure is rigorous.

The main lyrics of qianqianban are mostly based on Chinese folklore or historical stories. Such as "four elder sister down to earth", "Zhaojun out of the fortress", "Meng Jiangnu", "Qin Xianglian" and so on. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the chants of Qian Qian ban not only included history and legend, but also added the content of praising new people or new things, such as "delivering goods to the countryside", "three pass cultural hillock", "number one rice transplanter", "Lei Feng", "Jiao Yulu's visit to the poor by wind and snow", "where can I go back to my mother's home at leisure" and so on.

Money board is characterized by complete structure, harmonious rhyme, lively rhythm, vivid image, simple props and flexible singing. Performers can be male or female, old or young, and do not choose the venue.

With the development of society, the living space of the traditional art of money board is getting smaller and smaller. With the death of old artists, the cast is not in good shape, and many performance skills have not been inherited.
