Introduction to Fengyang flower drum
Applicant: Fengyang County, Anhui Province
Fengyang Huagu, also known as "Huagu", "dahuagu", "Huagu Xiaogong" and "shuangtiao Gu", is a folk performing art integrating quyi and song and dance. However, the rap performance in the form of Quyi is the most important and famous. It is generally believed that it was formed in the Ming Dynasty.
Fengyang flower drum is mainly distributed in dengdeng, Xiaoxihe and other towns of Fengyang County. The form of performance is accompanied by one or two people playing small drums and gongs, dancing and singing. In history, artists used this as a means to go out begging, and Fengyang flower drum spread all over the country. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, many literati recorded the lively scenes of singing and dancing in Fengyang flower drum performance. After the mid Qing Dynasty, the dance elements gradually faded out from the folk Fengyang flower drum, leaving only the singing part, which can be divided into two forms: "sitting singing" and "singing at the gate".
Most of the early songs of Fengyang flower drum were "Shidiao", mainly including "Fengyang song", "huahuadiao", "wangsanjie market", "Yangge tune", etc., which were widely sung in every capital. With the development of history, Fengyang flower drum drum drum, drum bar and drum beating methods are constantly changing. In the early 1950s, new artists reformed the Fengyang flower drum, added some new techniques of expression, eliminated the small gongs, and dedicated the small drum accompaniment singing. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the drum, they changed it to "double drum".
At present, the original Fengyang flower drum has been declining, and the rich art resources contained in it are far from being excavated. This precious folk art heritage needs to be protected.
