Zhegu opera originated in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It was inherited in Shanghe village, Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong Province. It has been handed down for seven generations and more than 250 years. It is one of the few rare operas preserved by villages in China. Partridge opera is a kind of folk opera developed from the imitation of the call of partridges and birds. It is characterized by adding a drag sound like the call of partridges in each sentence, which is graceful and melodious.

The partridge drama has its own unique quatrains and music, and its singing and reading are drawn from the dialect of Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong province. It also draws the essence of Peking Opera. It has both atmospheric regularization and strong local characteristics. There are 15 quatrains, such as plate making, explosive dolls, family beating, sadness, and planing. There are 56 scripts from the late Qing Dynasty to the 2009, mainly including rouge and Longbao temple. 》There are 10 liantai operas, such as biography of Taigong, pink River, Luo Tong's sweeping the north, number one watchman, Yang paifeng, baoliandeng, fighting in laws, strange mistakes, and farce learning. The accompaniment of the partridge play is mainly percussion music, almost every section has percussion music, and has its own unique musical instrument partridge Hu.
