In 1561, Lin Shifang, the county magistrate, completed the stone wall and the county office in two years. Ningde Shicheng looks like banana leaves, so it is called "banana city". Its block pattern is completely the pattern of "banana leaf city" after the rebirth of Ningde City in 1563.
