Shandong Rural Credit Union

Shandong Rural Credit Union was established in June 2004. It is a financial institution which is composed of Rural Credit Union and Rural Cooperative Bank of Shandong Province. It performs the functions of management, guidance, coordination and service for Rural Credit Union and Rural Cooperative Bank of Shandong Province. The state owned Assets Management Committee of Shandong Provincial People's government performs the qualification of investor.

Development history

Founded in 1951, Shandong rural credit cooperatives have 132 county-level legal persons (including 19 rural cooperative banks and 113 county-level cooperatives), 5564 institutional outlets and 62000 employees. It has become a comprehensive and multi-functional local financial institution with the largest number of business outlets and employees, the widest range of services and the largest scale of funds.

In August 2003, Shandong was designated as the pilot province of deepening the reform of rural credit cooperatives by the State Council. On June 6, 2004, Shandong Province Rural Credit Union was founded, which indicates that the province has achieved phased results in deepening the reform of rural credit cooperatives, and opened a new chapter in the reform and development.

After the establishment of the provincial Associated Press, under the correct leadership of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, and under the guidance and support of all relevant parties at all levels, it deeply studied and practiced the scientific outlook on development, actively implemented the national economic and financial policies, closely focused on the overall situation of the province's economic development, established the "one two three four six" working ideas and development goals, and persisted in taking deepening reform as the driving force and business development as the main line In order to serve "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" as the purpose, the main business indicators set the best level in history, further consolidated the status of the main force of rural finance, and strongly supported the economic and social development of the whole province. By the end of 2008, the balance of various deposits had reached 490 billion yuan, an increase of 93.4 billion yuan or 23.6% over the beginning of the year, and the balance of various loans had reached 368.9 billion yuan, an increase of 51.5 billion yuan or 16.2% over the beginning of the year. Among them, the balance of agricultural loans was 245.7 billion yuan, an increase of 36.8 billion yuan or 17.6% over the beginning of the year. The agricultural loan balance, the amount of increase in the current year, the accumulated amount of loans granted, the amount of loans for farmers, and the amount of increase in the current year ranked first in the same industry in China.
