Huaxiang District

Huaxiang district is subordinate to Fengtai District of Beijing. Located in the southwest suburb of Fengtai District, Beijing, it is adjacent to Nanyuan district (township) in the East, wanpingcheng District in the west, Fengtai street and Lugouqiao district (township) in the north, and Daxing District in the south. It covers an area of 49.89 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 111582 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 7 neighborhood committees and 14 administrative villages, and its office (township government) is located at No.1 a, huangtugang, Huaxiang, Fengtai District, Beijing. Jingkai and Jingliang highways pass through the third, fourth and fifth ring roads of the urban area.

Huangtugang commune was established in 1958.

In 1983, huangtougang commune and Xincun street were abolished, and huangtougang Regional Office (in Xincun) was set up, under the jurisdiction of 12 townships including huangtougang and newly established Xincun town (in Fanjia Village).

In 1987, huangtougang area and 12 townships and 1 town under its jurisdiction were abolished, and huangtougang township (actually Hua township; the original new town was changed to Xincun Street) was set up. The township government was stationed in sihezhuang.

In 1996, it covers an area of 50.3 square kilometers and has a population of 41000. It governs 15 administrative villages, including huangtugang, Caoqiao, Baipenyao, Xinfadi, sihezhuang, jijiamiao, Fanjia, ZAOJIA, Kandan, YuShuZhuang, Liuquan, Guogongzhuang, gaolizhuang, Yangfang and Baotai.

In 2010, Huaxiang set up regional offices to implement the management system of "one set of people and two brands".
