Pujin Street

Pujin street is a sub district office under the jurisdiction of Minhang District, Shanghai, China, which was established on July 2, 2015. Pujin Street originally belonged to Pujiang Town, belonging to "street".

It is named after Pujin Road, a north-south main road running through the central area of the new street.

On December 16, 2019, Pujin street, Minhang District, Shanghai was selected into the list of the third batch of smart, healthy and elderly care demonstration streets (towns).

Evolution of organizational system

It was originally the northwest part of Pujiang town in Minhang District, and was approved by Shanghai Municipal People's Government on June 16, 2015 to establish Pujin sub district office in Minhang District. It was officially established on July 2. Pujin Street will be set up in the area (about 23.99 square kilometers) to the west of Puxing road in Pujiang Town, to the south of Fengshou village and tingzi village. Pujin street is named after Pujin Road, which runs through the central area of the new street along the north-south axis. The implication of Pujin street is far-reaching: "Pu" represents the Pujiang River, which represents the historical memory of the new street originated from Pujiang town. It records the deep origin of Pujiang town and the geographical feelings on the Bank of Pujiang River, which has the continuing significance of inheritance and the cultural connotation of gratitude; "Jin" contains the cultural connotation of the street Good wishes and expectations for the future development of "icing on the cake" and the construction of "splendid home".
