Jianbian farm

Jianbian farm is a state farm of Heilongjiang General Bureau of agricultural reclamation, which is subordinate to Jiusan Farm Management Bureau. It is located in the north of Jiusan reclamation area and the East Bank of Nenjiang River. The site is 90 kilometers away from Nenjiang County.

Jianbian farm, built in 1964, got its name from living in the frontier of the motherland, which means "building the frontier". It is under the management of Heilongjiang Provincial Department of land reclamation. In June 1968, it was delegated to the leadership of Nenjiang County. In 1972, it was under the management of Heilongjiang Nongken state farm Administration Bureau, which was subordinate to Heihe branch. In 1976, it was put under the General Administration of land reclamation and under the Jiusan farm administration. Jianbian farm is located in the West foot of the north section of Xiaoxing'an Mountains, which is one of the northernmost farms in Heilongjiang reclamation area. The total land area is 1.27 million mu, including 283000 mu of arable land. It is mainly planted with wheat and soybean. It is a machinery farm with comprehensive development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and sideline. It is rich in honey. The total population of the site is 8935 (in 2010), and the site of the site has formed an agricultural reclamation town.
