The town is under the jurisdiction of Dangxiong County, Lhasa City, where the people's Government of the county is stationed.
Introduction to dangquka town
Located in the middle of the county. Dangquka means "swamp side" in Tibetan. The township was established in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, the township was restored in 1984, and dangquka and qudeng townships were merged into dangquka town in 1988. It covers an area of 324.91 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over two village committees, namely dangquka village and qudeng village, with 11 natural villages. The town government is located in dangquka village. There are 7754 people (2017) in the town, all of whom are Tibetans. The economy is dominated by animal husbandry, supplemented by agriculture. There are 150000 Mu grassland, raising yaks, sheep, goats and so on. There are two primary schools. There are clinics in the township. The Qinghai Tibet highway runs through the territory.
