Kalun Mountain Forest Farm

Kalun mountain forest farm is located in the southeast of Heihe City, 16 kilometers away from Heihe Aihui highway. Its geographical coordinates are 127 ° 10 ′ 37 ″ - 127 ° 38 ′ 59 ″ E and 49 ° 37 ′ 05 ″ - 50 ° 11 ′ 37 ″ n. It belongs to Heihe Forestry Bureau.

Heilongjiang is the boundary river between China and Russia in the East, bordering on Yanjiang forest farm of Sunwu County in the south, and Henan nursery construction area of Aihui District Forestry Bureau in the northwest. The administrative area is sijiazi Township, Aihui district. It belongs to Heihe Forestry Bureau.

physical geography

Mountain range: it is located on the north slope of Xiaoxing'an Mountains, with an average altitude of 120-200m. Water system: there are Gongbiela River, the first tributary of Heilongjiang Province, and Shijin River, the second tributary. Climate: located in the cold temperate continental monsoon climate, cold and dry in winter, hot and rainy in summer. The annual sunshine hours are 2350-2550 hours, the annual average temperature is 0.5 ℃, the annual effective accumulated temperature ≥ 10 ℃ is 2000-2200 ℃, the frost free period is 100-110 days, and the annual rainfall is 550-600mm. Soil: dark brown soil, meadow soil and swamp soil. Vegetation: it belongs to the flora of the north slope of Xiaoxing'an Mountains. The main arbors are Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Larix gmelinii, birch, poplar, oak and so on, while the main shrubs are hazelnut, shandingzi, thick plum, Lespedeza and so on.

Economic situation

At present, there are 60 people in total and 36 employees. There are 1 Township, 2 farms, 3 coal mines, 2 reservoirs, 60 natural villages in the construction area, with a social population of nearly 100000. 202 National Highway and heinen highway run through the construction area, so the traffic is convenient.

Forest resources

General situation of forest resources: the total management area is 1087785 mu, and the forestry land area is 302565 mu. Among them, there are 200130 mu of woodland, 8205 mu of shrubbery, 1620 mu of uncultivated woodland and 17910 mu of non woodland. The total forest volume is 280800 cubic meters.

Stand type: Kalun mountain forest farm is a seed forest farm, which is the provenance base of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica in Heihe city. There are three parent forest reserves of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Larix gmelinii. The total area is 3443 mu with 104499 plants. The average annual output of cones is 25000 kg.

1. Shijinhe Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica seed Forest Reserve: it covers an area of 1541 Mu and has 71572 trees, with an average age of 60-70 years, an average height of 25 meters and an average diameter at breast height of 36-40 cm.

2. Toudaogou Larch and Pinus sylvestris seed Forest Reserve: it covers an area of 476 Mu and has 11929 trees. It is mainly composed of natural larch forest and part of Pinus sylvestris Plantation. The age of larch forest is 60-70 years and the average diameter at breast height is 32-36 cm.

3. Aihui Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica seed Forest Reserve: covering an area of 1426 mu, there are 2100 mother trees of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and some larches.

In addition to the above three seed forest protection areas, the other main species are natural secondary forests, such as Betula platyphylla, oak tree, black birch, poplar, etc.

Forestry production and construction

The annual average afforestation area is 1000 mu, the annual tending area is 3000 mu, and the annual output of seedlings is 310000. The main varieties are Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Larix gmelinii, and 25000 kg cones of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica were collected. The planting base is 700 hectares, with an annual output of 900000 kg of soybean and 400000 kg of wheat. The forest farm cooperated with Shanghai automobile brake Co., Ltd. to build the automobile winter test field.

The forest farm is 16 kilometers away from Heihe City, with convenient transportation and a large area of natural forest of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica. There are ancient tombs and Aihui historical exhibition hall in shiye District, as well as the border river between China and Russia, Heilongjiang Province. There are good conditions for the development of forest eco-tourism.
