There are 9 townships and 159 natural villages in the construction area, with agricultural population of 145000 and forestry population of 17000.

On August 30, 2017, Linkou forestry bureau changed its name to Heilongjiang Linkou key state owned forest administration, which was officially established today. This indicates that the reform, ecological construction and economic transformation of the key state-owned forest areas in Linkou have officially entered a new stage of development.
