Historical evolution
Formerly known as qianlianzhugang.
It was built in 1917.
In 1918, it belonged to Nanxiang of Boli County.
In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), it was changed to the fifth class A, belonging to the fourth class.
In 1929, it belonged to the fourth district.
In 1931, lianzhugang village was changed to houlianzhugang town.
In 1933, it was changed to 5A.
In 1941, it was changed to Xingshu village, with jurisdiction over seven villages.
In November 1945, it was divided into the second district.
In 1951, it was divided into the eighth District, with 12 villages under its jurisdiction.
In March 1956, Xingshu township was established.
In September 1958, the Township Reform commune was established.
In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In August 1999, it was changed to Korean Township in Xingshu.
