Xigemu town

Xigemu Town, belonging to the suburb of Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southwest of the suburb and the north foot of Wanda mountain. It borders Sifeng Township in the East, Huanan County in the south, Aoqi town and Qunsheng Township in the west, and Yanjiang Township in the north. In 2018, the area was 126.05 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 13163.

In 1956, xigemu township was established, belonging to Huachuan County. In November 1957, it was assigned to Sanhe Township, a suburb of Jiamusi city. In 1959, it was assigned to Heping livestock farm of Heilongjiang Province. In 1962, sigmu commune was set up in the suburb of Jiamusi city. In 1968, it was transferred to Huachuan County. In March 1972, it was transferred to the suburb of Jiamusi city. In April 1984, sigmu commune was transformed into a township. In January 2018, the township was removed to build a town.

In October 2019, xigemu town governs 8 administrative villages and 1 living area.

In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises and 41 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters in xigemu town.

At the end of 2011, it has jurisdiction over eight villagers' committees, including xigemu, donggemu, Ping'an, Kaoshan, Minsheng, Fengsheng, Caomao and Qunlin, with a total of nine mass autonomous organizations, six residents' groups and 89 villagers' groups.

In October 2019, xigemu town governs eight administrative villages, namely, Caomao village, donggemu village, Fengsheng village, Jinshan Village, Minsheng village, Ping'an Village, Qunlin village and xigemu village, and one living area of breeding stock farm.
