Wangqing town

Wangqing Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wangqing County, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is the seat of Wangqing County Government. It is located in the southwest of Wangqing County, along the Wangqing River, bordering Dongguang town in the East, baicaogou town and Dongguang town in the south, baicaogou town and Daxinggou town in the west, Daxinggou town and Jiguan town in the north, with an administrative area of 258.61 square kilometers.

In 1910, it was called Daduchuan, belonging to Chunming society of Wangqing County; in July 1954, it was changed to Wangqing town. By the end of 2018, the population of Wangqing town registered residence was 10410. As of June 2020, Wangqing town has 14 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Wangqing town was 2.19 million yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in Wangqing Town, including one above scale.

History of construction

In 1910, it was called Daduchuan, belonging to Chunming society of Wangqing County.

In 1931, it was changed into the third district; in December of the same year, it was changed into Chunming township.

In 1938, Chunming village was changed.

In November 1945, Chunming district was changed.

In December 1947, Chunming district and chuncang District merged.

In May 1948, it was renamed the first district; in July of the same year, it was renamed Chengguan District.

In July 1954, it was changed into Wangqing town.

In September 1958, Wangqing town was transformed into a commune.

In November 1984, Dongzhen township was merged into Wangqing town.

In 1986, it was established in Dongzhen township.

In 1998, Dongzhen and xiweizi townships were merged.
