Taolinpu town

Taolinpu town is located in the east of Huangchuan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, adjacent to Gushi County in the East and Huaibin County across the river in the north. It is known as the "East Gate of Huangchuan County".

Taolinpu town has 16 administrative villages and 248 villager groups with a population of 28493 (in 2017) and a total area of 126 square kilometers (in 2017). It is 22 kilometers away from Huangchuan County and 20 kilometers away from Huangchuan railway station.

Historical evolution

It was the Sixth District of Huangchuan County in 1949, Taolin commune in 1958 and taolinpu Township in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 116 square kilometers and has a population of 32000. It governs 16 administrative villages including taolinpu, fuzhai, Zhouzhai, chenjialou, Lidian, Leisheng, Suying, Huangji, Quanji, Chunhe, huangloulou, zhoulou, Huqiao, Duzhai, Xiangpu and Liantang. In 1999, towns were set up instead of townships.
