Suidong Street

Suidong street is located in the central and eastern part of Huangpu District, Guangzhou city. It is located in the connecting area of Huangsha central city and Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. In 2002, the old Huangpu District was removed from town to street, and Suidong street was established from the original Nangang town. It was officially listed on August 1, 2002. It is adjacent to Nangang street in the East, Pearl River in the south, Hongshan street in the West and Dongqu street in the north. It covers an area of 12.12 square kilometers. Under the jurisdiction of Xiayuan, Nanwan, Miaotou, nanshai four community neighborhood committees, 37 residents groups. Among them, Xiayuan, Nanwan and Miaotou are transformed communities.

Organization setup

Suidong street has five organizations: the office of the Party Working Committee (the office and its joint office), the social affairs management section (the Civil Affairs Section and its joint office), the comprehensive stability maintenance and petition section, the population and family planning office, and the urban management section; two separate organizations: the Supervision Office (the office and its joint office with the organs of the Commission for Discipline Inspection) and the people's Armed Forces Department; and subordinate enterprises 5 units: management and Service Center for migrant workers and rental housing, community service center, population and Family Planning Institute, cultural station, environmental sanitation supervision and management station. There are trade unions, Communist Youth League, women's Federation, disabled persons' Federation, overseas Chinese Federation and other mass organizations. The sub district urban management and law enforcement team is under the dual management of district urban management sub Bureau and sub district office.
