Meixihu Street

Meixihu street is located in the southwest of Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It was founded in April 2007 at the foot of Yuelu Mountain and beside Meixi lake.

Meixihu Street covers a total area of 20.2 square kilometers, with a population of 8071 people (in 2010), under the jurisdiction of 6 communities and 2 villages. The administrative villages under its jurisdiction are Qilong community, Meiyuan community, Jinmao community, Jiashun community, Runlong community, Yangming villa community, Zhongtang village and Lianlian village.

In 2016, meixihu Street achieved 270 million yuan of tax revenue at district level, a year-on-year increase of 14.06%; completed 8.8 billion yuan of investment in fixed assets of the whole society, 800 million yuan of over task completion; introduced domestic and foreign funds to form fixed assets of 1.95 billion yuan; completed 74 million yuan of retail sales of consumer goods above the limit; completed 3 million US dollars of foreign trade import and export; added 762 commercial entities, and completed 104 million target tasks 7%; the second investment attraction completed 126000 square meters.

The origin of the name

Meixi lake, originally called Meixi beach, is a low-lying land with many streams, rivers, lakes and ponds. In 2007, Changsha invested 60 billion yuan to start the comprehensive development project of Meixi lake. On October 31, 2012, it was approved by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development of the people's Republic of China to build meixihu international new town, becoming the first batch of "green ecological demonstration city" in China and the only one in Hunan Province. At present, Meixi lake has become a beautiful city card of Changsha.

Evolution of organizational system

In April 2007, meixihu street was established in Yuelu District from Tianding township (today's Tianding Street) to five villages including Lianhe village, Xuehu village, Zhongtang village, Tianding village and Qilong village and Yangming villa community. In 2015, Runlong community was established. In April 2016, meixihu Street started the work of merging the established villages, merging Qilong village, Tianding village, Xuehu village and Runlong community into one community.

Located at No. 228, Fenglin Third Road, close to the West bus station, covering a total area of 209 mu, it is subordinate to meixihu sub district office. Lianlian Village

It has 14 village name groups with more than 2600 villagers, including 80 party members, 5 Village Branch committees and 1 family planning professional. In 2009, Meixi Lake International functional area was demolished. 12 famous village groups were demolished, with a population of more than 2000. Some of the demolished villagers chose monetary resettlement and successively purchased commercial housing to settle down. Some of them chose indemnificatory housing and were expected to live in indemnificatory housing. At present, there are still Dadong group, xiongjiachong group and Xinqiao group and qingnitang group to the east of the second ring road in Lianlian village, and some villagers' houses have not been demolished. Under the leadership of meixihu street, a community Preparatory Committee has been set up in Lianlian village, and all work has been carried out in an orderly manner.

Zhongtang Village

Located in the southwest of Meixi lake, Yuelu District, Changsha City, the village covers an area of 8900 mu, 1321.43 mu of paddy field and 6400 mu of forest. There are two small reservoirs - "Shitang reservoir" and "Yuetang reservoir" in the village, which have jurisdiction over 18 villager groups, a total of 1275 households and 3089 people. The Party branch has 6 party groups and 84 party members.

Runlong community

Established in June 2015. In April 2016, meixihu Street started the work of merging the established villages, merging Qilong village, Tianding village, Xuehu village and Runlong community into one community.
