Fudong town

Fudong Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Helong City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the east of Helong City, in the upper reaches of Fudong River, a tributary of Hailan river. It borders Yongxin township of Longjing City in the East, Nanping Town in the south, Longcheng town in the West, Bajiazi and toudao town in the north, with an administrative area of 192.34 square kilometers.

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was forbidden land; later, it was reclaimed land; in 1983, Fudong commune was changed into a town. By the end of 2018, the population of Fudong town registered residence was 9025. As of June 2020, Fudong town has three communities and four administrative villages.

History of construction

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a forbidden area, and then a land for reclamation.
