Sunhe area

Sunhe District, Chaoyang District, Beijing Municipality, governs the township (Regional Office). Located in the northeast edge of the area, Wenyu River, 16.4km away from Ritan Park. It is adjacent to Shunyi Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone in the north and across the river from Changping District in the West. The office is located at 6 shunbai road. It belongs to the planning control area of the second green isolation belt and Wenyu River green ecological corridor in Beijing.

Historical evolution

In June 2004, Huanggang township was abolished and merged into Sunhe township. At the same time, a regional office was set up in Sunhe township to implement "one set of people and two brands". In 2008, it has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages.

In the late Qing Dynasty, there was a town, which belonged to Daxing County. From 1936 to 1955, it belonged to Shunyi County and Tongxian county.

In 1956, it was divided into the eastern suburbs and set up Sunhe township. In 1959, it was changed to Sunhe commune. In 1961, it was a Sino Arab friendship commune. In 1983, it was changed to township.

In 1996, it covers an area of 11.5 square kilometers and has a population of 11000. It has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages in beidianxi, beidiandong, Xidian, Sunhe, Kangying, houweigou and qianweigou, and two neighborhood committees in Sunhe and Weigou. In 2002, it covers an area of 16.52 square kilometers and has a population of 16000. It governs seven administrative villages including Sunhe, Kangying, qianweigou, houweigou, beidiandong, beidianxi and Xidian. The township government is located at No. 6, shunbai road.

In 1947, it belonged to Changping County and Tongxian county respectively.

In 1956, it was assigned to the eastern suburb. In 1958, it was transferred to Heping commune of Chaoyang District (later renamed as China Arab friendship commune) and called Huanggang brigade. In 1983, it was transferred to township.

In 1996, it covers an area of 18.2 square kilometers and has a population of 7000. It governs seven administrative villages including shashaiying, shangxinbao, xiaxinbao, Huanggang village, Shenjia village, Lixian village, leijiaqiao village and Huanggang neighborhood committee. Huanggang branch of Dongjiao farm is located in the city.

In 2002, it covered an area of 18.22 square kilometers and had a population of 9000. It has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages. Shaiying, xiaxinbao, leiqiao, shenjiafen, shangxinbao, lixianfen, Huanggang, the township government is located in the east of shenjiafen village, 100012.
