Shaguotun Township, belonging to Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Nanpiao District, adjacent to Jiulong street in the East, mountain area of warm pond town in the south, Xianglu mountain in the west, gendeyingzi township of Chaoyang County in Chaoyang City across the mountain, dongdatun township of Chaoyang County in the north, with an administrative area of 97 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China and the Japanese puppet regime, a village was set up, belonging to the fourth district; in 1982, shaguotun commune in Jinxi County was changed into shaguotun Township in Nanpiao District. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Tat Chi Tun township was 12942. As of June 2020, shaguotun township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in shaguotun village.
In 2018, there were 26 industrial enterprises in shaguotun Township, including 3 Enterprises above Designated Size and 19 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

On August 15, 1945, a township was set up.
In 1982, shaguotun commune of Jinxi County was changed into shaguotun township of Nanpiao District.

By the end of 2011, shaguotun Township had 11 administrative villages: shuangtagou, pandaogou, qianfulong mountain, houfulong mountain, dahongpo, shaguotun, Sunjiawan, shangxin'an, xiaxin'an, gaojiatun and wangxigou, with 47 villager groups.
As of June 2020, shaguotun township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages: shaguotun village, shuangtagou village, pandaogou village, qianfulongshan village, houfulongshan village, dahongla village, Sunjiawan village, shangxin'an village, xiaxin'an village, gaojiatun village, wangxigou village. The Township People's government is stationed in shaguotun village.

Shaguotun township is located in the western part of Bohai Sea and the hilly area of western Liaoning. The main mountain ranges are banla mountain and Xianglu mountain. The highest peak is located at Xianglu mountain in pandaogou, with an altitude of 238 meters. The lowest point is banla mountain, which is located between Sunjiawan and shaguotun village.

History and culture
The origin of place names
Shaguotun was formerly known as shaguotun, because as early as the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, there were Mongolians who made a living here by farming and burning casseroles. Later it was changed to shaguotun.
cultural relics and historic sites
The ancient human cave site of shaguotun is located in another landscape of shaguotun, which is the ancient human cave site. The site is located in a natural cave on the east slope of the daughter-in-law of shaguotun Township, Nanpiao District. The cave entrance is about 2 meters high, 3 meters wide and 10 meters deep. Three parts of space are naturally formed in the cave, which gradually shrinks inward and is slightly angular.
Located on Shilong mountain, shaguotun stone pagoda was built in 1206, the sixth year of Jin Tai He period. It is a provincial protected cultural relic in Liaoning Province.
