Warm pond town, belonging to Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Nanpiao District. It is adjacent to zhangxianggongtun Township in the East, Gangtun Township and shanshenzixiang Township in Lianshan District in the south, gangyaoling town in the west, Wujintang reservoir and huangtukan Township in the northeast, with an administrative area of 125.3 square kilometers.

Before 1949, warm pond town was divided into pseudo Chaoyang County and Jinxi County; in 1987, it was changed into warm pond town; in July 1989, it was divided into Nanpiao District. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in warm pond town was 20775. As of June 2020, warm pond town has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in warm West Village.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of nuantang town was 12.5 million yuan, an increase of 34.3% over the previous year. The local fiscal revenue was 6.4 million yuan, an increase of 33.4% over the previous year. In 2018, warm pond town has 6 industrial enterprises and 60 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Before 1949, warm pond town belonged to pseudo Chaoyang County and Jinxi County.

After 1949, warm pond was set up as the seventh district of Jinxi County.

Warm pond commune was established in 1958.

On August 9, 1983, nuanchitang township was changed.

In 1987, it was changed to warm pond town.

In July 1989, it was assigned to Nanpiao District.

In 2001, xiaotiantun and yuanjiatun were merged into yuantun village, Shuiquangou, daligou and sijiazi were merged into Sijia village, and nuanchang town governed 20 administrative villages and 65 villager groups.

There are three rivers in nuanchangtang Town, songnuan River in the west, Badao River in the north and Nuer River in the East, among which Nuer river has a large flow. It is the main river of Wujintang reservoir.

History and culture

According to "Jinxi County annals", there is a small river in the south of the village. The water is clean and the fish can be counted. It comes from the water bubble in the west of the village, and it's steaming in the morning. It's commonly known as warm pond, so it's named "warm pond." The town depends on the name of the village.

Anchangxian relic tower is located in anchangxian village, warm pond town, 15 kilometers southwest of Panlong cave. It is a protected cultural relic in Liaoning Province. It was built in Jin Dynasty and rebuilt in 1152. The body of the pagoda is built with green bricks. It is an octagonal solid dense eaves type with a height of 18 meters. The base of the pagoda is a Xumi type, with bricks carved with lotus and patterns. The body of the pagoda has seven floors on eight sides. There are arched doors in the East, West, North and south. There are specially carved Bodhisattvas inside, and they sit in niches on the lotus terrace.
