Lianwan street was formerly known as Daochi Township commune of Jinxi County; in 2002, Lianwan street was established by withdrawing the town and building the street. At the end of 2011, Lianwan street had a total population of 13300. As of June 2020, Lianwan sub district has jurisdiction over 4 communities and 4 administrative villages, and the sub district office is located in the middle section of Jinhu Road, Yuxing community.

History of construction
Lianwan street was formerly known as Daochi Township commune of Jinxi County.
In 1983, Huludao District was established, belonging to Huludao District of Jinzhou City.
In 1984, Daochi commune disintegrated and Daochi township was built.
In 1989, with the upgrading of Jinxi city to prefecture level city, it was put under the jurisdiction of Jinxi city.
In 1995, Daochi township was changed into Lianwan Town, belonging to Longgang District of Huludao City.
In 2002, Lianwan street was established.
