Economics

The successive Party committees and governments of Qingxi Township regard the cultivation of follow-up resources as the primary task, and regard afforestation as the top priority of economic development in mountainous areas. Shedui forest farm was founded in the early 1970s. In August 1976, Qingxi commune forest farm was also rated as advanced Shedui forest farm in Anhui Province. In the 1980s, the slogan of "forest farms run by every village, afforestation by every household, adaptation to local conditions, development of forestry" was put forward. The whole township has invested millions of yuan, and through the "World Bank loan" to solve the support fund of nearly one million yuan, a series of preferential policies and measures to encourage forestry development were formulated. There are 6 forest farms in the township, township, village, group and individual, with a total area of 15000 mu. Qingxi commune forest farm, which was founded in the early 1970s, has developed into a leading enterprise of timber production and management. With good faith and investment promotion, tianfuxi tableware factory has become a wholly foreign-owned enterprise with an annual production capacity of 500 cubic meters, an output value and sales revenue of 2.5 million yuan, a tax payment of 160000 yuan to the state, and won the "enterprise tax contribution award" of the district government. Bamboo products processing plant that uses bamboo resources for deep processing; Qingxi tea factory that integrates organic tea production, processing, packaging, wholesale and retail; and Yunying earthwork engineering team, which is formed by local farmers, has sprung up rapidly. In 2002, the operating income of township enterprises reached 17.59 million yuan.
