Baiqizhai Manchu Township, belonging to Tieling County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southeast of Tieling City (Changbai branch), on the West Bank of the upper reaches of fan River, adjacent to Qingyuan Manchu Autonomous County of Fushun City in the East, Fushun County of Fushun City in the west, Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County of Fushun City in the south, and Kaiyuan city in the north, with an administrative area of 165.92 square kilometers.

In 1921, it belonged to Dadianzi, the Second District of Tieling County; in March 1988, it was changed to baiqizhai Manchu Township. By the end of 2018, 12018 households registered residence in the Manchu Township of Bai Qi Zhai. As of June 2020, baiqizhai Manchu countryside has nine administrative villages.

In 2011, there were two industrial enterprises above Designated Size in baiqizhai Manchu Township, realizing an industrial added value of 79 million yuan. In 2018, there were 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in baiqizhai Manchu Township.

History of construction

In 1921, it belonged to Dadianzi, the Second District of Tieling county.

In 1958, Tieling County commune was established, belonging to the ninth branch.

In 1959, Jiguanshan commune was established.

In 1961, the red flag commune was established from Jiguanshan commune.

In 1981, it was renamed baiqizhai and then changed to baiqizhai commune.

In 1983, it was changed to baiqizhai township.

In March 1988, it was changed into a Manchu Township in baiqizhai.

Gunmaling, 703 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Tieling area and the birthplace of fan River, the mother river of Tieling county.

Honors

On January 19, 2021, it was named as the eighth batch of demonstration units of national national unity and progress demonstration area by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
