Haltau town

Haltao town is located 40 kilometers northwest of Zhangwu County, Liaoning Province. National Highway 101 passes through the town. It is an important traffic route from Shenyang in the East, Inner Mongolia in the north, Fuxin in the West and Jinzhou in the south. With a total area of 174 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages, a permanent resident population of 23916 (2017), and a cultivated land area of 76000 mu. It is a national pilot town for comprehensive economic development of small towns. The annual output of green and pollution-free vegetables is 50 million kg, and all kinds of new, fine, special and anti vegetables are exported to northeast provinces. It is one of the first foreign vegetable production bases to be shortlisted after the implementation of the "site linked" market access system in Beijing, which has improved the brand awareness of haltao green vegetable base. Haltau green vegetable base plans to increase the production area of green and pollution-free vegetables by 5000 mu this year and next, with a total area of 10000 mu. The annual output of green and pollution-free vegetables will exceed 100 million kg, supplying the national market.
