Lushun economic development zone is located in Lushunkou District of Dalian, southwest of Liaodong Peninsula, east to the old fellow titishan nature reserve, the South Yellow Bohai boundary, and the Shandong Peninsula across the sea; West is surrounded by five islands, such as bird island, Snake Island, tiger Ping island and yak island.

The sea route is 66 nautical miles to Penglai District, Yantai City, Shandong Province, 92 nautical miles to Longkou City, and 101 nautical miles to Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province.
