Xinyang town

Xinyang Town, subordinate to Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the south of Wudi County, with Shuiwan town in the East, Haifeng street in the south, Dehui New River in the West and Qingyun County in Dezhou City as the boundary, and Chewang town in the north. The area is 48.4 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinyang town was 35765.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was in Xincheng. In July 1946, Xinyang district was established. In 1958, it became Xinyang commune. In May 1984, it was changed to Xinyang township. In 2012, Xinyang township was abolished and Xinyang town was established. As of June 2020, Xinyang town has 57 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In the Western Han Dynasty, the territory was the seat of Yangxin County.

In the late Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties, it was the military headquarters of Wudi County, Baoshun town and Baoshun.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was in Xincheng.

In July 1946, Xinyang district was established.

In 1958, it became Xinyang commune.

In May 1984, it was changed to Xinyang township.
