In July 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of xiaojinqiao commune was established. In October 1978, xiaojinqiao commune was changed into xiaojinqiao street. In August 2005, xiaojinqiao street and Xiaodong Street merged into Jinqiao street. As of June 2020, Jinqiao street has 16 communities under its jurisdiction.

History of construction

On March 12, 1949, xiaojinqiao street was established.

On February 1, 1950, the street office was abolished and a central office was set up.

On October 13, 1954, xiaojinqiao street was established.

In July 1958, it was changed into xiaojinqiao commune.

In April 1960, the four communes of xiaojinqiao, Xiaodongmen, xiaodongbianmen and Zhulin were merged into Xiaodong commune.

In November 1961, Xiaodong commune was divided into Zhulin commune, xiaojinqiao commune and Xiaodong commune.

In July 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of xiaojinqiao commune was established.

In October 1978, xiaojinqiao commune was changed into xiaojinqiao street.

In August 2005, xiaojinqiao street and Xiaodong Street merged into Jinqiao street.
