Basic information

Princess mausoleum ranch was founded in July 1947. It is one of the earliest state-owned ranches in China, the same age as Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is adjacent to ergetu town of KEYOUQIAN banner in the East, yilelite town of Ulanhot city in the west, Wulanhada town of Ulanhot city in the South and Chasen town of KEYOUQIAN banner in the north. It is 8 km away from Ulanhot airport. National Highway 111 and inter provincial channel pass through the three teams of the airport. The communication and transportation are very convenient.

Princess mausoleum ranch is a state-level poor farm, mainly in agriculture, supplemented by animal husbandry. The total number of households is 667, and the total population is 1694 (2010). The total area is 255000 mu, including 60252 mu of cultivated land, 32000 mu of forest land, 132000 mu of grassland, 29.8 mu of cultivated land per capita, 22603 heads of livestock, 420 mm of annual average precipitation, 2200-2700 ℃ of annual average accumulated temperature and 112-125 days of frost free period. There are five grass-roots companies, a children's school, a staff hospital, a police station and a sheep breeding farm.

The farm has 602.52 million mu of arable land, 1.32 million mu of grassland and 32000 mu of woodland, with a total population of 1694 people (in 2010). The Mongolian, Manchu and Daur ethnic minorities account for 43% of the total population. It has five production teams, a school for children of workers, a hospital for workers, and a police station to escort the economic development. the site is the transition zone from the southern foot of Daxing'an Mountains to Songnen Plain. It is a low mountain, hilly and gentle slope grassland area, covering more than 90% of the grassland. The soil is mainly dark brown calcareous soil, dark Piao calcareous soil and chernozem, belonging to continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 4.2c, and the annual precipitation is 420 mm. The precipitation is concentrated from July to August, and the frost free period is 112-125 days, ≥ 10 days. The accumulated temperature is 2200-2700c. There are more than 20 senior agronomists, senior animal husbandry specialists, agronomists, animal husbandry specialists, senior high school and senior professional title personnel in the farm. Gongzhuling ranch is the designated animal husbandry breeding farm of the animal husbandry department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is the birthplace and breeding center of high-quality Xing'an fine wool sheep. At present, there are 7600 Xing'an fine wool sheep and 2260.03 million large and small livestock.

Situation of sheep breeding farm

Gongzhuling ranch is the key core farm of Xing'an fine wool sheep cultivation, one of the key seed farms at the autonomous region level, and also the first sheep breeding demonstration farm recognized by the Ministry of textile for the development of national wool production. In 1986, Gongzhuling ranch introduced more than 20 Merino breeding rams from Australia, and built the largest Xing'an fine wool sheep breeding base and the largest Australian American breeding center in Xing'an League. By 1989, not only the blood guide was improved, but also the wool length, wool weight and weight after shearing were greatly improved. After more than 20 years of cultivation and development, the average wool yield of Xing'an fine wool sheep is 15 kg for rams and 7 kg for ewes. The net wool rate is 50%, the wool length is more than 8 cm, and the main wool fineness has reached 64-70 yarns. In 2010, it was promoted to the national livestock variety and included in the national variety catalog. The Ministry of agriculture expert group identified Gongzhuling ranch as the breeding center and breeding base of high quality Xing'an fine wool sheep. Since 2011, the farm has increased investment in the development of Xing'an fine wool sheep, invested 1 million yuan to expand the sheep breeding farm, and has developed into a core breeding area with more than 200 breeding rams and more than 500 Basic ewes, including Australian Merino, duper, wujiaoduosaite, Xing'an fine wool sheep, small tail Han sheep and Ujimqin big tail Han sheep. At present, there are 48 Xing'an fine wool sheep farmers in Gongzhuling pasture, raising more than 7600 Xing'an fine wool sheep.

Development goals

by 2020, the stock size of sheep breeding farm will reach 2000, and 1500 high-quality breeding sheep will be provided to the society and the surrounding sheep farmers every year. Artificial improvement, lamb production and fattening technology will be popularized in the whole farm. By then, all livestock free households will be eliminated, and the road of combining agriculture with animal husbandry will be taken, so as to achieve the high-efficiency agricultural development road of both planting and raising sheep. the area of artificial grass planting reaches 2000 mu, and the annual production of high-quality forage mainly alfalfa is 500000 kg. The planting area of silage is 100 mu, and the production of silage is 500000 kg. The area of feed land is 300 mu, and the annual production of green feed is 120000 kg. Gradually developed into the overall sheep management center.
