Bayan Ewenki Ethnic Township, belonging to the Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner of Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner, adjacent to Hongyan town in the East, hadayang town in the southeast, tengke town in the south, and kuilehe town in the West and northwest, with an administrative area of 421.88 square kilometers.
In 1933, it belonged to Bayan nutuk; in July 1984, it was changed to Bayan Ewenki nationality township. By the end of 2018, 16928 households had registered residence in Ewenki Township, Bayan. As of June 2020, Bayan Ewenki ethnic countryside has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 17 administrative villages.

History of construction
In 1643, the two villages of SAMA street and Bayan street in Bayan Township were established by Ewenki people in this period. They are the earliest residents and the earliest developers and builders in Bayan township.
In the early years of Kangxi, the Qing government set up "butha Daju" in Qiqihar village on the West Bank of the middle reaches of Nenjiang River. At that time, Bayan area was under the management of "butha Daju".
In 1933, it belonged to Bayan nutuk.
In June 1946, it was a temporary Bayan banner.
In April 1949, Bayan banner was abolished and belonged to Molidawa banner.
In 1956, it was changed into Bayan township.
In 1958, it was changed into a commune.
In July 1984, it was transformed into Bayan Ewenki ethnic township.
In April 2001, part of Okun River town was incorporated into the city.
In June 2006, kuilehe town was merged into Bayan Ewenki ethnic township.
In June 2011, kuilehe town was separated from Bayan Ewenki ethnic township.
