The middle and West Town, belonging to Dalate banner, Erdos City, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Dalate banner, adjacent to the East and ngubel Town, and adjacent to the Dongsheng registered residence in the south of the Dongsheng river. The west is linked to the only town of Tara, the Hangzhou banner. The north meets the Xiang River in the pioneer township of the former banner of Bayannaoer, the area of 881.74 square kilometers. Up to 2018, the household registration population is 14298.

In 1962, Zhonghe West commune was established. In 1984, the village was changed. In 2005, it merged with sanhaitu and Husiliang and changed into a town. As of June 2020, Zhonghe West town has nine administrative villages.
