Wudong town

Wudong Town, subordinate to Dianjiang County, Chongqing, is located in the south of Dianjiang County, bordering Gaofeng town in the East, Yantai town in the south, Chengxi town and Taiping Town in the west, Taiping Town and Huangsha Township in the north. It is 13.4km away from Dianjiang County Government, with a total area of 41.8km.

In the spring and Autumn period, Wudong town belonged to the state of Ba; in October 1992, Wudong town was changed from Wudong township to Wudong town. By the end of 2018, the population of five hole towns registered residence was 27320. As of June 2020, Wudong town has one community and six administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 51 Wolong Road, Yingbin community.

The main food crops in Wudong town are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs and geese; the main industry is natural gas production and chemical industry. History of construction

In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Ba.

Qin and Han Dynasties, belong to Badu.

In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Western Wei Dynasty, it belonged to Dianjiang County.

In 1646, it belonged to bazhuangli; in 1746, it belonged to Nanli; in 1878, it belonged to Nanli.

In 1915, it belonged to the fourth district. In 1931, Wudong township was established. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Shadong township was merged with Huangsha township. In 1941, Shadong township was renamed Shaqiao township.

In March 1953, Wudong township was set up in jieshaqiao township.

In June 1958, Wudong township was changed into Wudong commune.

In March 1983, Wudong commune was changed into Wudong township.

In October 1992, Wudong township was changed to Wudong town.
