Brief introduction of gadasu breeding stock farm

Tongliao animal husbandry bureau is in charge of the business. It is a national key livestock farm for pure breeding of Dorset and Suffolk mutton breeds and Simmental cattle, with a total of 410000 mu of pasture. In order to protect these natural pastures, in line with the principle of balancing grass and livestock and determining livestock based on grass, the carrying capacity of pastures is re approved, and the number of grass and livestock is not allowed to be overgrazed. This year, the breeding stock farm put forward the slogan of "reducing sheep and increasing cattle", which reduced the number of cashmere goats and extended the time of grazing prohibition. Next year, grazing prohibition will be implemented in the whole farm. The farm also set up an ecological protection team composed of 24 people to guard each management and protection station and patrol 24 hours to crack down on the behavior of destroying grassland, so as to protect the grassland ecology to the maximum extent. The farm is a national key breeding livestock farm for pure breeding of Dorset and Suffolk mutton breeds and Simmental cattle, focusing on the cultivation of Chinese Merino fine wool sheep (hereinafter referred to as Sino US sheep). there are 5600 Sino American sheep in the farm, including 1000 high-quality breeding sheep and 30 tons of fine wool; 41 Dorset and Suffolk mutton breeding sheep, including 28 basic ewes; 400 Simmental cows, including 200 basic cows, including 70 high-quality breeding cattle and 500 tons of fresh milk. In December 1985, the Chinese and American sheep passed the appraisal and acceptance under the leadership of the State Economic Commission and was officially named. This breed of sheep has the characteristics of good body shape, strong constitution, suitable for grazing, high net wool rate, good wool quality, stable genetic performance and remarkable crossbreeding effect. The Chinese and American sheep breed is rectangular, with a long body shape and a long head hair. It grows to the eyeliner, looks like a cap, and its skin is loose. Rams have spiral horns and a few have no horns. There are 1-2 horizontal folds and developed longitudinal folds in the neck of ram, developed longitudinal folds in ewe and no obvious folds in the trunk of ram and ewe. the wool quality of Chinese and American sheep is good, the coat is closed well and the density is high. The straightening rate is 30.4%, the fineness is 66 yarn, the evenness is good, the yarn is obviously large and medium bending, the color of oil sweat is white or milky white, and the content is moderate. according to the measurement of wool textile industrial properties, the percentage of wool top made by Chinese and American sheep is 86.3%, and its average fineness, length, crimp shape, oil sweat color, mechanical properties of wool fiber, scale structure, shrinkage and other aspects have reached or exceeded the level of "56 type" Australian wool. The fabric is elastic, flexible, smooth and natural luster. Simmental cattle are deep, wide, tall, well proportioned, strong, muscular, flexible, with bright coat, red (yellow) white flowers, well distributed flower spots, white head or eye circles, white tail, limbs and abdomen, waxy yellow horns and hoofs, meat color of nose mirror, well-developed breasts, uniform and compact structure. It has the characteristics of high cold tolerance, roughage tolerance, milk meat dual-purpose, high yield and high fat. at present, the 305 day milk yield of Simmental cattle is more than 4300 kg, the milk fat rate is 4.03%, the average daily gain of intensive fattening cattle is 1106 g, the slaughter rate is 61%, and the net meat rate is 50%.

Contribution of gadasu breeding stock farm

Since 1998, the farm has undertaken the livestock "seed project" construction project in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the national key sheep breeding farm construction project to cultivate fine breeding sheep, further improving the quality of Chinese and American sheep. In 1999, Sino US sheep won the first prize at the Inner Mongolia sheep variety exhibition and sales competition, and was highly praised by domestic sheep experts. Over the past 30 years, the farm has promoted more than 53000 breeding sheep and more than 1000 Simmental cattle to more than 20 provinces and regions in China, providing more than 700 tons of high-quality fine wool to the wool textile industry, making outstanding contributions to the development of China's sheep industry, cattle industry and textile industry.
