Jinbaotun Town, belonging to Horqin Left wing rear banner of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Horqin Left wing rear banner. It is adjacent to Jinbao village, Shuangliao City, Jilin Province in the East, Sanjiangkou Town, Liaoning Province in the south, hailutu town in the West and Shuangliao City, Jilin Province in the north. The area is 590.42 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Jin Bao Tun Town was 30960.

In June 1950, Jinbaotun was divided into four districts. In 1953, jinbaodian nutuk moved from dahaozi to Jinbaotun. In October 1958, jinbaodian commune was established. In 1984, the commune was abolished and Jinbaotun town was established. As of June 2020, Jinbaotun town has 4 communities and 17 administrative villages.

By the end of 2018, there were 24 industrial enterprises in Jinbaotun Town, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 25 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In June 1950, Jinbaotun was divided into four districts.

In 1953, jinbaodian nutuk moved from dahaozi to Jinbaotun.

In October 1958, jinbaodian commune was established.

In 2000, Budun halagen Sumu was incorporated into Jinbaotun town.

The area is 590.42 square kilometers.

topographic features

The topography of Jinbaotun town is gradually decreasing from southwest to northeast and then to Southeast. Except for the Liaohe alluvial plain in the East, the landform is mainly characterized by sand dunes and sandy land. The dunes are undulating and the depressions are distributed vertically and horizontally. The highest peak is in the southwest, with an altitude of 308.4 meters; the lowest point is at the intersection of the East and West Liaohe rivers in the southeast, with an altitude of 885 meters.
