Nantaizi Township

Nantaizi township is located 38 kilometers northwest of Jinshan Town, adjacent to Yongfeng Township of Kalaqin banner in the East, Weichang County of Hebei Province in the west, suburb of Chifeng County in the north and xiaoniuqun township of Kalaqin banner in the south. It is about 24 kilometers long from east to west and 10 kilometers wide from north to south, covering a total area of 178 square kilometers. The main mineral resources discovered and mined include zeolite, perlite, anthracite, etc. The reserves are relatively rich. Among them, perlite and anthracite are local specialties.

Nantaizi Township, bounded by aobaoliang, belongs to banzhijian river. During the period of puppet Manchukuo, it belongs to xiaoniuqun village of harqin Right Banner. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was a small cattle area. In 1956, Nantaizi was designated as xiaoniuqun District, and the people's commune was established in 1958. Nantaizi township was restored in 1984, with 11 villagers' committees under its jurisdiction. Nantaizi township has convenient transportation, with Chifeng Weichang highway in the East and West, Jinshan Nantaizi highway in the south, and Beijing nengliao railway in the West. Nantaizi Township mainly develops economy and agriculture. Forestry, animal husbandry and sideline industries also developed accordingly. The township has 45419 mu of arable land, accounting for 17.5% of the total area. In recent years, through the comprehensive development and management of mountainous areas, especially after the reform of rural economic system, a large number of barren mountains have been managed through contracting and responsibility system. Planting trees, grass, gully, slope control, effective control of soil erosion, the main food crops are millet, corn, beans. The main cash crops are potato, sunflower, beet, tobacco, radish seed, green onion, garlic, etc. Dagou reservoir was built in 1975, with a capacity of 1.35 million cubic meters and 50000 fish, which is a key water conservancy project in the banner. The forest coverage rate of the township is 21%. there are 28 primary and secondary schools in the township, with 99.1% of school-age children enrolled. There are radio stations, cultural stations and film projection teams in the township. One township hospital was built. In 2008, with the joint efforts of the four levels of courts, Zhao Shenglin, a legal professional in China, successfully coordinated the execution of a three-year-old case that had been terminated. This fully reflects the service concept that justice for the people is the club of lawyers. The case of Zhao Shenglin's execution and coordination has been well told by the local people. after the township was withdrawn and merged into xiaoniuqun Town, Nantaizi township was merged into xiaoniuqun town together with daniuqun Township and xiaoniuqun township.
