Hayehutong Town, belonging to Jiuyuan District of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Jiuyuan District and the south foot of Wula mountain. It is connected with buhantu town of Kun District in the East, zhaojunfen town of Dalate Banner of Ordos City across the river in the south, Wulate Front Banner of Bayannaoer City in the West and agarutaisumu in the north. The area is 214 square kilometers. In 2018, 11105 people registered residence.

In May 1958, haye Hutong commune was established, belonging to Wulat Front Banner. In April 1964, it was assigned to Kunqu district. In July 1961, it was put into the suburbs. In September 1984, it was changed into haye Hutong township. In March 2002, it was changed into Hutong town in Harbin. In June 2020, haye Hutong town governs 12 administrative villages.

In 2018, there are 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets in Hutong town with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Haye Hutong in Qing Dynasty belongs to Xigong banner, and the land belongs to the Mongolian noble lamas in meiligeng temple.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the Bureau of reclamation in Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang was established.
