Gegu town

Gegu town is the only established town located in Binhai New Area in Jinnan District of Tianjin city. It is an important node in the overall development planning of "one axis, two belts and three districts" in Tianjin city. It is also one of the eight ancient towns in North China. Gegu town has a total area of 44.1 square kilometers, 69774 people (2017), postcode: 300352. Code: 120112. Area code: 022. Pinyin: geguzhen.

On December 29, 2018, it was named the Sixth Batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress by the National People's commission. On January 9, 2019, gegu baonian was selected as the "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" in 2018-2020.

History and culture

Gegu Town, Jinnan District, Tianjin is one of the "eight ancient towns" in North China in history. It has been a well-known dock and distribution center of trade goods in Tianjin since Ming Dynasty. Due to the development of water transport, the residents of gegu town mostly make a living by shipping. During the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, the local rich businessmen and the government came forward to put the statue of goddess of the sea (Mazu) into the official sedan chair from the Spring Festival to the Lantern Festival, and people carried it along the street to watch the lights. This attracted a large number of boat people to pray for the safety of the boat people. After hundreds of years of inheritance, innovation and development, in the early 20th century, eight Phoenix chariots and two light pavilions were formed in gegu chariot (the objects of Phoenix chariot were goddess of the sea, goddess of seeing off her son, goddess of pox rash and goddess of Mount Tai). It is the traffic hub from the central urban area of Tianjin to Binhai New Area. Famous people

Guo Yunchang

(1611-1659) word rope, No. Luya. He was born in the Ming Dynasty and was the third ancestor of the Guo family in gegu. At the beginning of gegu, it was the kitchen household of Liujia in Fengcai salt farm. When I was young, I was fond of ancient words, but the articles were bold and unconstrained. At the age of 28, Chongzhen had already passed the maoke examination and won the second place in shuntianfu rural examination. Later, he studied behind closed doors and wrote Shizhen. In the second year of Shunzhi (1645), he was awarded the title of magistrate of Yuzhou, Nanyang Prefecture, Henan Province, at the age of 34. Yuzhou had just suffered from the war, the family was incomplete, and the economy was poor. When he took office, he immediately put forward the proposal that all corvee should be exempted within three years. In Yuzhou, he was honest and diligent, and was worshipped by local ancestral temples. In 1650, he was transferred to the Ministry of punishment. Soon, in order to run the salt affairs, he served as the general judge of Dongchang Prefecture in Shandong Province. Dongchang people and soldiers set up a monument for him in Dongmen. In the 11th year of Shunzhi (1654), he was transferred to shuntianfu and was promoted to zongrenfu in the 13th year of Shunzhi (1656). Shunzhi fourteen years (1657) was Gaofeng court official. In the 16th year of Shunzhi (1659), he was promoted to the magistrate of Yanping Prefecture in Fujian Province and died in Renzhong. There are collected works.

Tian Fang

(1911-1974) formerly Tian Zhaodong, from gegu. From 1919 to 1931, he studied in Beiping and studied in Beiping private Furen University. After September 18, 1931, he joined the petition group of Beiping students going south to ask for resistance against Japan. Later, due to family difficulties, he suspended school. In August 1932, he went to Shanghai and was admitted to Tianyi film company as a Mandarin teacher, a part-time recorder and actor. By the spring of 1937, he had participated in the production of more than 10 films, such as the story of the red sheep hero, the burial at sea, unlimited career, and top gun. From August 1937 to July 1938, he joined the second team of Shanghai National Salvation drama team to publicize Anti Japanese national salvation. He performed "defending Lugou Bridge", "putting down your whip" and other plays, and made the film "the last drop of blood".
