Xinqiao Town

Xinqiao Town is located in the middle of Luqiao District. It has a long history and rich cultural heritage. As early as the Song Dynasty, it was a place where merchants gathered. It was one of the five major market towns in Huangyan county. So far, wufenglou still shows the original appearance of Jiangnan Qing dwellings. With convenient transportation and advantageous geographical location, it is adjacent to Hengjie town in the East, Xinhe Town and Zeguo town in Wenling in the south, fengjiang street in the west, Lunan street in the north, 1 km from national highway 104 in the West and 2 km from Luqiao airport in the north. Two county-level highways pass through the town. The administrative area of the town is 13.8 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 17 administrative villages, 2 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 28761 (2017).

In October 2019, Xinqiao Town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

The per capita net income of farmers is 7122 yuan. The comprehensive economic strength ranks among the top 100 towns in Zhejiang Province.

The town's industrial economy is developing healthily. Five pillar industries, such as molding, printing, sanitary ware, screen and agricultural machinery, have been formed.
