Sipai township is located on the Bank of Wusuli River in the northeast of Raohe County, across the river from Russia, 21.5km away from the county seat, with a total area of 52km2. The township has four administrative villages and one state-owned forest farm with a total population of 1600 (2017). Sipai township is the only ethnic township in Raohe county and one of the only three Hezhe townships in China.
