Jianshe township is located in the west of the central part of the county, with Datong Township in the East, Gangdong Township in the west, Aoshan Township in the south, Dongfeng Farm and Dongping forest farm in the north. The total area is 22.51 square kilometers, with 22621 mu of arable land.

It has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages, 2 sideline bases and 229 villager groups. There are 7268 households and 20720 people. The township government is located in xiasanxing Town, 6.8 kilometers away from the county seat. Jianzhong highway runs through the whole territory and intersects with 8 East-West sunny and rainy tractor roads; Xusheng River, Jianshe Henghe River and Yujia River meet with the township center of the river, baiyiao port, zhangwanggang, laofei River, with convenient transportation. Before liberation, the northern part of the area was close to the Beihong Road of the Yangtze River, with low embankment, and was often attacked by sea tide; the southern part of the river was silted up, so it could not irrigate in case of drought, and could not discharge in case of flood. After liberation, the township successively excavated and dredged 11 horizontal and vertical rivers at county and township levels, with a total length of 33.92 km; opened and dredged 294 mingou rivers, with a total length of 220.69 km, with a total excavation of 2.8565 million cubic meters; leveled land and reclaimed beaches, with a total earthwork of 2.2242 million cubic meters; and built 28 electric irrigation vehicle ports. The area of water and drought rotation accounts for 90% of the total cultivated land. In 1984, the annual grain yield per mu was 1690 Jin, the lint yield per mu was 85 Jin, and the rapeseed yield per mu was 294 Jin, 4.2 times, 1.5 times and 4.1 times higher than that in 1958, respectively. The per capita income is 286.45 yuan. Rural industry started in 1958. In 1984, there were 6 Township run enterprises and 15 village run enterprises, including comprehensive factory, glove factory, knitting factory, valve factory and brick and tile factory. The total output value of rural industry is 12.019 million yuan, and the annual profit is 2.152 million yuan. The impregnated and sweatcloth gloves processed by the glove factory are exported to Japan, the United States, Canada and other countries. the traditional sideline production projects in the village include livestock raising, local gauze textile, etc. After liberation, while vigorously developing pig breeding and freshwater breeding, we also developed new projects such as edible fungi cultivation and Angora rabbit breeding. In 1984, there were 141 specialized households in planting and breeding. It raised 18100 pigs and more than 10000 Angora rabbits, cultivated 453500 square feet of mushrooms and Lentinus edodes, with a total sideline output value of 506900 yuan. there are 1 middle school, 1 junior middle school with 1056 students and 8 primary schools with 1824 students in the township.
